Translating Existing Tech Pack into Z.Studio Fields! (Tech Pack Mapping)

New to Z.Studio and trying to translate data from your existing tech packs into Z.Studio? To ensure that the required information pulls through to your tech packs? See a breakdown of the fields which export to the Z.Studio tech pack below!

The header is on each page of the tech pack PDF. For the XLSX format it will be on each tab.

The header is comprised of some key values from Z.Studio summarised below

Tech Pack Cover Page - Page Contents

The Cover Page is optional. If you would prefer to use the Colourways Page as the first page of the Tech Pack, deselect the 'Cover Page' option when exporting your Tech Pack.

If you would like to add any text onto our cover page, include this in the image/screenshot uploaded and it will pull through accordingly! 

 

Images used don't have to strictly be the Front and the Back like the above example. E.g. with Footwear you could choose the side and the top profile of the shoe.

Use the alternative colour reference to include another reference point for the colourway. If you have Pantone references, or supplier-specific references these can be included here. 

 

Please note, these won't be visible in Z.Hub so if the reference would be needed at Production level, it would need to be used in the 'Colour' field. (referenced above)

Details - Page Contents

The 'Details' pages will export a page per card from the 'Annotations' tab of the Project.

If you need multiple images on one page, group them/ screenshot the grouped images and upload this into Zedonk.

 

If you just want a text box here for the full page, upload a white 'image' and you can place the text box on this 'image'.

 

(If there are no annotation lines (1-26 / A-Z), the image will be positioned in the middle of the page with no table for the annotation lines.)

This header will only show if the raw materials are being managed by Colourway "RM By Colourway" flag has been selected on the "Raw Materials" tab. 

This will only show if a swatch colour or swatch image has been applied and Raw Materials are set to 'RM by Colour' to have colourways specific BOMs.
2Colour (E.g. "FUSCHIA")

Z.Studio > Projects > Tab: Colourways > Manage Colourways > Field: "Colour"

This header will only show if the raw materials are being managed by Colourway "RM By Colourway" flag has been selected on the "Raw Materials" tab. 

 
3Alternative Colour Ref (E.g. "PINKY")

Z.Studio > Projects > Tab: Colourways > Manage Colourways > Field: "Alternative Colour Ref"

This header will only show if the raw materials are being managed by Colourway "RM By Colourway" flag has been selected on the "Raw Materials" tab. 

If not present/ required/ applied, the standard 'Colour' value will be centred in this header alone. 
4RM Image

Z.Studio > Raw Materials > Tab: Variants > Field: "Image" 

(from the selected Raw Material record) 

RM images will only pull through if selected to 'Show BOM Images' when exporting the tech pack. If selected and images are not present on the applied RM records, the row heights will only accommodate the text. (slimmer) 
5SizeThis will be "All Sizes" if on the "Raw Materials" tab for all sizes when you've selected the "Sized RM" flag in Raw Materials. 
6Material Type

Z.Studio > Projects > Tab: Raw Materials > Field: "Material Type"

and/or

Z.Studio > Projects > Tab: Sized Materials > Field: "Material Type"

As with Z.Hub, these values can be used to communicate the function or role of the raw material within the Product.
7Our Ref

Z.Studio > Raw Materials > Field: "Our Reference"

Fit Notes - Page Contents

The 'Fit Notes' pages will export a page per card from the 'Fit Notes' tab of the Project. Fit Notes are stage-specific and will export from the current assigned stage by default. However, when exporting the tech pack, you will have the option to choose to include fit notes from other stages if required.

2Table of Fit Notes from Fit Note Card

The '(Sampling Details)' is pulling through from the assigned 'Type': Z.Studio > Projects > Tab: Fit Notes > Details > Field: "Type"

There can be up to 26 annotation lines per card/page. (1-26 / A-Z). 

(If none are applied to the annotation card, the image will be positioned in the middle of the page with no table for the annotation lines.)

3Stage Name (E.g. "SMS")Based on the stage names specific to your system. This will pull through the stage name the fit notes are specific to.

When exporting the tech pack you can pick from multiple stages to export fit notes across the stages. (The current stage will be selected by default.) 

 

This field is a useful anchor/identifier for which stage the fit note is specific to.

Sample Measurements - Page Contents

The Sample Measurement page is for reviewing what the determined base size sample's measurements should have been, and comparing this with the measurements actually received. The Measurements determined for the next stage will be reflected in the 'Next Stage Base Measurement' column. Any discrepancies out of tolerance will reflect the discrepancy value in red. 

 

This page only needs to be included if needing to share a review of the sample with the manufacturer. When entering a new stage of sampling, it would be recommended to share the tech pack with any updated measurements for the next sample stage.
