For an explanation of terms specific to Z.Studio, please reference the below table.
WORD/PHRASE |
EXPLANATION |
---|---|
COLLECTION |
The main record in Z.Studio which holds projects and is season-specific. |
PROJECT |
The equivalent of multiple Product Costing Colourways, the Project sits within a Collection and the Project can hold multiple Colourways within it. Techpacks will be exported from the Projects. Figures on the project will be specific to the season assigned to the collection it sits within. |
RANGE PLAN |
A document listing the Projects/ selected Projects within a Collection. (Collection-Specific) |
TECH PACK |
(Also known as a ‘Technical Specification’) A document exported from your Project/s providing details on how that product is constructed, including imagery, text, and measurements. This document is referred to internally and provided to Manufacturers as a reference point during production. Tech packs will contain multiple colourways. |
SAMPLE STAGE |
Projects can move through multiple stages, .i.e. Sample stages as the sampling process goes on. Projects can move between stages defined in the settings and the stages often depict how close that project is to being signed off as ready for production. |
TOL -/+ |
Short for Tolerance, you can have a differing below (-) and above (+) tolerance, this is what the system will look at when comparing the actual sample measurement per stage to the base size measurements to indicate in red whether the measurement line is out of tolerance or not. |
INC -/+ |
Short for increment, this is the difference between each size per measurement. (this is what the measurement grades by) |
PUBLISH/ED |
The act of publishing a Project from Z.Studio into Z.Hub creates a product costing per colourway in Z.Hub. |
PALETTE |
A range of colours being referenced throughout the Collection. |
FIRST COLLECTION |
The First Collection (by Start Date) that the project is listed on. |
ALL COLLECTIONS |
All Collections in which the Project is listed on. |
COLOURWAY |
Each Project can hold data for different Colourways (STYLE/ FABRIC/ COLOUR) / (Product ID) |
TARGET UNIT COST |
This is the goal unit cost for the Project/Colour. |
PROJECTED QUANTITIES |
The quantities projected to sell+/produce of the project/colourway. |
SAMPLE MANUFACTURER |
The manufacturer responsible for that sample - stage specific. (For internal reference purposes) |
SAMPLE COST |
The cost of the sample produced for that stage. (For internal reference purposes) |
BOM |
The Bill Of Materials for that project. With the option to manage specifically by colour and size if required. |
ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS |
The measurements of the Sample for that current stage. This will be compared to the base size measurements to provide a discrepancy and indicate any measurements out of tolerance. |
DISCREPANCY |
The difference in measurement between the base size/spec measurement and the actual measurement for that measurement line. |
NEXT STAGE BASE MEASUREMENTS |
The measurements defined to pull through to the next stage as the base size measurements as per any changes applied. This can either be the same as the current base size measurements (this will always be the case by default), the actual measurement, or a custom measurement. |
MEASUREMENTS AND GRADING |
The measurements and grades between sizes for specific points of measurement (POM) on the project. |
MEASUREMENT GUIDE |
A reference point for how to measure the Project. |
FIT NOTES |
Notes following on from fit meetings for the sample stage. These notes can often be annotated with action points for the next sample. |
ANNOTATION |
Images and annotated details providing additional information on the requirements construction and details for that Project. |
IN USE |
A project-colourway specific flag to indicate whether a project-colourway is listed (or in use) within the Collection or not. |
CANCEL/LED |
A status to indicate that the project will not be going ahead. A project and Collection specific flag. Once a project is marked as cancelled, the project and colourways within it cannot be published. |
